Sibelco UK awarded Carbon Trust Standard

Sibelco’s ongoing commitment to carbon reduction has seen the company join only a handful of UK businesses in being awarded the prestigious Carbon Trust Standard.

The government-supported initiative recognises organisations that have genuinely reduced their carbon footprint and are committed to making further reductions year on year. Over the past 5 years Sibelco has slashed carbon emissions by more than 25,000 tonnes across its UK operations and continues to invest in further energy efficiency initiatives.

Sibelco UK Energy Efficiency Manager, Derek Johnson, commented: “Receipt of The Carbon Trust Standard is testimony to our achievements to date in reducing our environmental footprint and to our genuine commitment to further improvement.”
